Glowworm Flexicom boiler investigated due to a water leaking coming out from bottom of boiler. Investigation found substantial rust and condense staining at rear of boiler. Boiler ran and performance emissions tester used at rear of appliance to detect an unhealthy 500ppm of carbon monoxide. Diagnosis result of main heat exchanger compromised and split leaking products of combustion into the case. A new heat exchanger kit on these boilers is around £750 which combined with replacement labour costs would deem this as an inefficient repair option on an old boiler. New boiler with 7 year warranty recommendation provided.
